Hi,

The locate/Find places tool is not working suddenly. I am on ArcPro 3.3.2 and when I run the Layer Search, zero results are returned when I should see multiple. This happens regardless of search parameters ('match exact', 'match any part', etc).

I am unable to find information if this is an existing bug or how to resolve this issue.

Thank you

You can check the health of basic ArcGIS services at ArcGIS Online Health Dashboard. ESRI says that the Geocoding service had No downtime today. Most likely (if restarting ArcGIS Pro did not immediately solve the issue) is you had network issues connecting to https://geocode.arcgis.com/arcgis/ or your connection was blocked by a firewall.

There are several Find and Locate tools available in ArcGIS Pro. However, if you are using the default Locate tool in the toolbox, it is dependent on a connection to ArcGIS Online. Also note there is a Locate and Layer Search option on the tool interface. If 'Layer Search' is selected it will only search the layers currently within your map

If the Locate option is not working this means you do not have good network connection to the ArcGIS Online service providing the search capability.

To check Locate setting click the drop down carrot to see what you have enabled.

I have the same options checked as you do; I did not change any settings, and I did not have these issues prior.

Hi Richard,

Thank you so much for your quick reply! Looks like I'm not able to insert photos into this reply, but the Geocoding Service works, I was able to replicate your screenshot.

My issue is the "Layer Search" option. It has suddenly stopped working using the same parameters I've used prior on the same layers I've been using all week.
I have checked:
Search All Layers
All Features
I have tested using 'Match any part' and 'match exactly'.

There are attributes in my map that it should be picking up and had no problem picking up as a layer search result yesterday.

Hi @RichardDaniels

After searching for your location in South Carolina, the Layer Search option seems to be functioning as it had prior. Do you know what would cause it to start working as expected again?
