hi,

We’ve recently decided to upgrade our system from ArcGIS to ArcGIS Pro, and I’m currently in the process of transitioning. The more I work with ArcGIS Pro, the more I appreciate its capabilities—my sincere thanks to the development team for creating such a powerful tool.

At GfK Geomarketing, we frequently work with large datasets and make extensive use of overlay tools. I have a question regarding the tiling process within these tools:

When a feature (such as a polygon or line) crosses a tile boundary, it is split into parts for processing and then reassembled. During this process, are new vertices introduced at the points where the feature is cut?

I’d appreciate any clarification you can provide.
