Layers not appearing in 'Query' widget

Hi there,

I've added a layer to my Map, and it appears as a layer in my 'Layer list' widget in the application I've built through Web AppBuilder. However, when I try building a Query on this layer, it doesn't appear and so I can't use it to build my query. I know that I can pull the layer in from Portal, but then you can't select the results to appear like your pop-ups, which is very restrictive.

Has anyone else had this issue and knows why it happens? More importantly, how do I fix it?

The layer has c150K elements, but it displays at full resolution quite happily, so I don't think it's a size issue. I'm using Portal V 10.8.

Is the layer you are wanting to use in the Query widget meeting the requirements? Have a look at the layer details from your content and confirm it is one of the following. I had some issues with Web App builder not showing certain layers for different widgets and ended up I was trying to use a "Feature Collection" that had to be converted into a feature layer before I could use it.
From the help:
Data sources can be one of the following:
• Feature layer in the current map
• Feature layer as an item in the portal
• Feature layer from an ArcGIS Server REST service
• Imagery layer from an image service
• Standalone table

Hi Michael,

Thanks for that. It is a feature layer in the current map, which is why I don't understand it not appearing. As you'll see from the attached, it is identical to the other two layers, which are appearing, and letting me write the query; it's the All_AIM_lines_WGS84, if that makes any difference.

Okay. This is weird, I've just gone in this morning to start again, and the layer is there! Obviously, that's great, but also very puzzling.

Anyone got any thoughts on why this might have happened?

This may or may not be related, but now when I go in to create new queries, the widget keeps failing saying 'Please set filter correctly' because it has lost the filter details I input last time. If I cancel, wait a minute or so and go back in, it's all there, or not. Has anyone else had this issue? Is this related to the original non-display?

Cheers
