Lag in Copy and Pasting Text Elements in Layout Mode

Hello,

When in layout mode and trying to copy and paste text/image elements in ArcGIS Pro 3.4, at certain times it is able to paste the element right away, but at other times it lags for a bit? Does anyone else also run into this problem? Closing out of Pro is my usual workaround.

I just started to experience this same issue in layouts within ArcGIS Pro 3.2. Even when attempting to copy/paste simple text elements, Pro will just freeze and after 15-20 seconds, it refreshes and the layout zooms out. Only then are the copied text elements selectable. Only solution so far is to close out of Pro.

I'm also having this problem.  I've even had ArcGIS Pro 3.4.2 crash when trying to paste copied text.

I'm also seeing this weird issue on 3.3.2. Copying an element in layout view seems to freeze pro for a solid 20 seconds before resuming like nothing happened, at which point I can paste the element with no issue. Haven't seen this before now, but I've been on 3.3.2 for a good couple months. Strange behavior.

I'm having the same issue, but copy/pasting graphics (text) in the map view. Arc freezes, cant do anything for 20-30 seconds. Am on version 3.3.1 (my organization controls when we can upgrade, so am behind on version)

Copy/paste has been broken in this regard for several versions now across my entire team. When copy/pasting most types of features, especially graphics in both map and layout view, it completely breaks the program, and it freezes for a minimum of 30 secs... sometimes longer. This has been going on for months now.

There shouldn't be an issue here, and it's clearly a code/bug issue we're looking at- I am running a Xeon dual processor with an 8 GB workbench GPU, 96 GB RAM, and a gigabit connection. There is no reason why a simple copy/paste should lag on such a device.

Not to mention, it used to be even worse, but has improved some... previously, my Pro (and others) would immediately crash upon pasting a graphical feature within a layout. Esri, please look into this! We need basic functionality and bug fixes prioritized over adding new features! This is a simple programmatic issue that has been a problem for far too long.

This has been an issue for a year. I am experiencing and have been experiencing this for about 8 months. No one has a fix?

Fix it, ESRI. Make some excuse, at least.
