Is there any way to know how much credit will it cost to share a web tile?

Hello!

I'm preparing a map for field work. After publishing a tile layer, I found it cost me 44 credits on tile generation. I have only 80 credit left before the action so it is really a big number for me. Is there any words in "Share as Web Layer" telling about the estimated credit which the web layer will cost during the progress? And any ideas to save the credit during sharing the layers? There is one hillshade layer I selected to cache locally and then published online but it cannot show the data when using the ArcGIS online map viewer. I'm not sure why.

Thanks in advance!

Wayne

What client are you publishing with ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap? I would suggest that you choose the option to cache manually on the server: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/publish-tiles.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_86DEFEF756A047B7...

When generating the tiles from the items page in ArcGIS Online, you will be provided with an estimate before submitting the create tiles job:

https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/manage-hosted-tile-layers.htm

Generating tiles automatically is another way to manage credit costs when generating tiles, as you are only charged when a tile is requested the first time. If tiles are never generated for a specific area, then you won't be charged for them:

Another option is to publish from a tile package that you generate on your machine. There is no tile generation cost for publishing this way:

Thanks,

Dan Patterson‌ Thanks for your response. I just come back from field so sorry for late reply.

I have checked the page above and knew how they charge the credits. After check my credit record, I found the "tile generation" cost most of my credits. More specifically to my question, is there anyway to know how much tiles will it be before I submit the job to cloud? Thus I can estimate how much credits will the job costs. Maybe there is a way that I can process the tiles locally to reduce the cost of "tile generation"?

Thanks again!

Wayne
