Is there any way to export a symbol icon from ArcGIS Pro?

I have made a symbol in ArcGIS Pro, and would like to export it as a .PNG, .SVG or similar to use in other programs. Is this possible at all? I've only been able to export it as an Esri style file.

Thanks!

I haven't followed up on this since last summer, but below is a work-around a colleague suggested back in July 2019.  It is less elegant than a direct export, but I was able to get the end result I needed with it.

"There’s no direct export symbol as sort of thing.  I would create a small layout and have one feature and no basemap and export the layout as a PNG with transparent background."

I'm also curious whether there is a way to do this. Has anyone gotten an answer?

Make a layout

Make your symbol large and the only thing in the layout

Share the layout as an svg
