Is it possible to extract data from one raster layer using another raster layer?

I have downloaded two raster layers, one for mean species abundance (MSA) and one for land use from GLOBIO. I need to extract the MSA for the individual land uses in order to calculate an average for each land use type. I have been able to create a new raster layer so that each land use is its own individual layer. Does anyone know how this can be done? Thank you!

Thank you @DanPatterson ! I have been looking at Zonal Statistics but there is no option to input my raster layer as the input layer. Would I need to covert this raster layer to a polygons or points to do this?

  • If the Input Raster or Feature Zone Data (in_zone_data in Python) value is a raster, it must be an integer raster.

check your zone raster.

Also, work with rasters stored on your machine .... to rule out other issues.

And, the spatial reference should be the same .... ditto

... sort of retired...
