In ArcGIS Pro 1.3 & 1.3.1 the Intersect gp tool does not produce any valid output if the first input feature class contains a near vertical polyline ZM and the second input feature class contains a Polygon Z.

If I choose the ‘Point’ at the output type the resulting output feature class remains always empty. However the intersection is clearly visible: see attachment below. According to the visual examination the result should be a single point.

Thanks. For the case you provided the output should be empty.  Please see How Intersect works—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

For your output the line feature is completely contained by the polygon feature so there are no point intersections:

Unfortunately there appears to be something wrong with the data you've attached (it appears to be corrupt). Could you please contact ESRI support, 1 (888) 377-4575, with this case so we can open an incident?

Thanks. Ken

Thank you for your replay! I replaced the attachment in the original question for a working one. Now it can be opened easily.

No matter! The “Intersect 3d Line with Surface” is still there…
