importing symbology

Bug or a bad change in pro?  In importing symbology, the labeling is also change.  Not very useful.

Is this ArcMap?   ArcGIS Pro?  Importing a *.lyr file?  Need a lot more detail of what you're attempting to do.  Thx!

Pro 2.4.3 Apply symbology from layer.  Work well in arcmap.

It's only the labels are changed when you apply the GP tool, correct?  One thing that comes to mind is the label engines.  In ArcMap, the default labeling engine is the Standard Labeling engine.  In AGP, the default labeling engine is Maplex.  What is the labeling engine you're using in ArcMap compared to AGP?
