Hi,

I need maps in PNG format (or TIFF) for final product, but using a PDF as an intermediary is nice because in BlueBeam (PDF software) or Adobe Acrobat we can edit text directly, in the title block, etc.  This saves me time for minor tweaks, but I'm wondering if the quality degrades when going PDF to PNG vs. directly to PNG from Pro.

thanks,

Zach

Yes, you will see a degradation of quality. But how noticeable the difference will depend on what you use to convert the pdf to png. You can try playing with compression types and dpi too.
I noticed that many online image conversion tools give bad quality images compared to when I do the conversion with Adobe.
The only work around I could think of to avoid losing any quality is if you had Adobe Illustrator you could export to AIX from Pro, do the edits in Illustrator, then export as a png.
