How to use a check box created in DAML?

I was able to insert a check box under a menu into the daml file.

Now, I want to add its function. I would like it to activate a tab that I created 

For instance, when I click on the checkbox. I would like it to activate one of the other tabs or a tab I create. Also, for some reason check box is invisible before clicking on it.
