Hi Friends,

I'm a GIS newbie, i'm learning Pro software, i stay in China, and when i create a map, it always gives me a default China basemap, however i want it to be a US basemap, as my lots of practice material is using US map.

How to achieve that? thanks in advance!

Thanks & Regards,

Martin.

Hi Martin!

You can change the default extent of the basemap in your active portal (ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS): Organization > Settings > Map > Default Extent.

Map and scene options—Properties of maps | ArcGIS Desktop

I hope this helps!
