How to separate CAD layers to be able to turn them on/off individually

Good day

I'm trying to import my CAD file to ArchGIS so my polylines are separate and can be toggled on/off and exported to GIS. 

I would like to have it look like this

I have tried expanding the dwg when adding data to map and only adding the Polyline, but it still came out like the first picture

might be worth a look since geodatabases offer a lot of options

If you are looking to keep it is CAD you can add the CAD file in so many times and remove the points from one, lines from one, etc. And have it as multiple layers that can be turned on and off. not the prettiest for you but easier in the long run.
