There is a single feature within a layer that I would like to have included, lake Michigan beside Illinois. I made the mistake of using the clipping, thus excluding everything outside of the state. This is fine except for this single layer that I would like to show. Is there a way to override the clipping in some way to have this layer show through?

Turn On the editing mode for the clipped layer. Select the feature from the larger layer that you want to copy. Click Copy and Paste on Standard toolbar. Choose the clipped layer as the target layer.
