Hi friends,
How are you? I'm a beginner in this world and I don't know how I could copy polygons or lines in the same layer.
At this moment, I'm using ArcGIS Pro 2.8.3. Obviously, I searched in this page and in others forums how to do that before posting but I didn't find anything.
I know how to copy in a new layer:
1º select the item to copy
2º select de current layer and second click --> data --> export entities.
Now... How can I copy items in the same layer or in other layer (no new)?
thank you in advance
Hi @aortslo
I hope this finds you well!
Use Copy to copy selected features and their attribute values to the clipboard.
The Paste option in the Clipboard should become available and appear in the top left. In the drop-down below paste, select paste special and this allows you to select a template or to paste it into an existing layer.
Please note it is worth creating a blank layer if you want to add these to a separate selection Layer - Selection layers—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation
More information on this can be found here - Copy and paste features using the clipboard—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation
Please let me know if you have any further questions!
Thanks,
Corey
Hi again!
thanks for your answer!
I have tried to copy and paste but I have a problem.
If I try to copy-past in the same layer I don't have any problem, but if I try to paste in other layer, it doesn't work.
I copy, after that, I select "Paste options" and I select the layer I want to paste the item (I attach a photo)
I accept but after that I don't have the item in the new layer.
Anyone knows why doest it happen?
Thanks again!
