Hey all, my work is switching from ArcMap to Pro but are running into an issue. As part of our job, we often have to create logo maps, which have a point symbol for the location with a line drawn out to the logo of a business. In ArcMap, we would add the logo to the map as a marker with a .BMP file to avoid a white square around the logo (see example in image 1). When trying to replicate this process in Pro, we have not been able to find a similar work around. Are there any recommendations for working around this issue? I've attached an image of how our ArcMap logo maps are styled and how they are appearing in Pro.
Try saving them as PNG files with an alpha channel for the transparent areas.

Hi @ErnestCottle,
have you ever found a workaround to this?
I'm now encountering this exact issue when switching from ArcMap 10.8.2 to ArcGIS Pro 3.4. I'm using BMP image (8bit) as Picture marker symbol, to which Background color can be set as Transparent in ArcMap, but not in Pro.
Using PNG is an alternative I know about, but due to the amount of symbols I have already created as BMPs and used in ArcMap MXDs, it is not my number 1 option.
Thanks for any recommendations.

Hey @TatanaBlahova,
I was never able to find a work around. I eventually had to redo all 5,000 logos and icons I had as BMPs and change them to PNG (ArcGIS Pro) and SVG (AGOL). If you make Adobe Illustrator AI files for all of them, you can batch export them to PNG and SVG. Its still a heavy lift, but that was the only way I could get it to work.
