Hello,

We are currently using Enterprise and our staff consume published services via portal for use in ArcGIS Pro.  I have a question about display names in ArcGIS Pro.

Example:

Geodatabase Feature Class 'Parcels' published as hosted feature layer 'Property Parcels'

Hosted layer view 'Subdivision Parcels' created from hosted feature layer 'Property Parcels'

When a user in ArcGIS Pro views either the hosted feature layer or hosted feature layer view within the Portal section of the Catalog pane the name is displayed as set up in Portal {'Property Parcels' or 'Subdivision Parcels'.} However when either are added to a map in Pro the Contents pane always displays the name of the originating layer 'Parcels'.  Is there an option within Pro or Portal where you can default the display name in Pro to show as the the feature service name and not the source layer name?

Currently:

Hosted Feature Layer 'Property Parcels' displays as Parcels in contents pane

Hosted Feature Layer View 'Subdivision Parcels' displays as Parcels in contents pane

What we would like:

Is there a way to change this so 'Property Parcels' displays as 'Property Parcels' and 'Subdivision Parcels' display as 'Subdivision Parcels' in the ArcGIS Pro contents pane when the service is added to a map.

Thank you.

Hello CWCGIS,

I am having the same issue with the display name. When I add a feature layer from our portal to the table of contents, the layer and layer name are added instead of the feature layer  and feature layer name with the sublayer nested underneath.  The odd thing is that this isn't always the case, only with some of the feature layers.

Did you ever find a solution?
