Hi,
I have a question regarding feature templates when publishing a web map from ArcGIS Pro.
We create all the feature templates on the services and publish this as a web map.
When we open the webmap, all the different templates are available and can be added to the map this is all good.
Yet when you add the published webmap back to ArcGIS Pro all the previously created are gone when you check the feature templates.
Why do these disappear? This makes is so you have to recreate all of them each them you publish the web map again.
Kind regards,
Andreas
The questions I have:
Hi @Scott_Harris , I apologize for the late response.
When you say you "created all the feature templates on the service", what do you mean? The typical workflow is to start with data in an geodatabase (enterprise or file geodatabase) > author layers, including templates > publish. Or are you saying you added already published feature services to a map in Pro as the first step?
This is current way of publishing our data
If you are adding existing feature services to Pro as the first step, how were they published to begin with, and to where? Referenced, Copying (hosted)? From Portal or ArcGIS Online?
Where are you publishing the web map? Portal, ArcGIS Online?
How are you publishing the web map? Referenced, Copying?
Which version of Pro?
Which version of Enterprise?
Hopefully this gives more insight into this problem. Thanks in advance!
@AndreasB sorry for the delay! Have you reached out to Esri Technical Support to log a defect? That way you can track the progress of a fix. FWIW, I can reproduce and am trying to get in touch with the correct internal team.
