Hi,

We are trying to publish a feature layer to ArcGIS online containing a number of points, lines and polygon feature classes and the publish fails however when we go to AGOL the item and service definition are there.

Occasionally when it fails in pro only the service definition might just be present in AGOL so a republish is required.

Any thoughts on what could be making these publishes to fail? I have attached a screenshot of the error message we get from Pro.

Hi @CiarainSheridan

Couple of questions to narrow down the issue.

  • Is the issue happening only with feature classes or with shapefiles as well.
  • If the data source is geodatabase then is it File Geodatabase or Enterprise Geodatabase.
  • Is the data stored in local drive or shared drive. If shared drive, can you move it on your local drive and then try to publish.
  • Have you tried with a different network like home network, office network.
  • Are you the only one in your organization who is facing this issue or other people are facing the issue as well.

Hi Vikhyat,

For this product we only use feature classes. Have not seen the issue with shapefiles.

Its stored in an enterprise geodatabase.

Its in a shared drive.

We have tried a number of different networks with the same outcome.

All members of my team experience these issues.

Thanks,

Ciarain

@CiarainSheridan

Since the data is being published to ArcGIS Online, would it be possible to copy some of the feature classes from Enterprise GDB to a File GDB and then publish.

Additionally, with the help of IT probably you can whitelist certain URLs mentioned in the following document and see if it helps : https://trust.arcgis.com/en/documents/REV_AGOL_Domain_Requirements.pdf

Going to give this a test and see how I get on.
