I am having an issue with publishing a Map to AGOL as a web map.

I am being told it is a "Consolidation Error". I tried shortening the file path by moving it from a folder buried in multiple other folders to the desktop. But I am getting the same error. Here is the JobLog:

Hi @EricRoper

Hope you're doing well. It looks like "Consolidation failed" points towards a potential incorrect path in your input data, that may not be represented by the traditional red exclamation point. A web map will fail to publish if a feature class's data source has been altered to point to a new feature dataset in the same file geodatabase. Please go through each of the sources in your map's Contents, and ensure they are all pointing to the correct data, and that adequate permissions are set for each.

Tip: You may be able to narrow down the erroneous layer(s) by moving half of your layers to a new Map, and attempting to publish. This will tell you which half of your data contains the issue. You can repeat the process to further narrow down the problem layer(s)

Best,

Taren

I had a similar error. When I exported the feature classes from the geodatabase to a shapefile, it published properly.

I ran into the same issue. There was a connection to an invalid GDB under 'Databases' in the Catalog (this gdb was not used in the map nor by the tool). After deleting the connection I could publish the tool succesfully

Along the same lines, I just had this error this morning and it turns out I had a layer pointing to a source in the wrong feature dataset. Everything else was correct, but remarkably, it didn't show a red exclamation and the layer was still displaying (perhaps due to caching?).

Just wanted to throw it out there for anyone who comes across this, I was running into this error while trying to publish layers specifically for ArcGIS Indoors. The solution was to run the Upgrade Indoors Database tool. Apparently I had added some custom domain values that may have threw off one or more of the attribute rules for Indoors. If you're not using Indoors, may be worth checking your attribute rules if you are using those.
