Failed to open project (error code 50)

I've just installed ArcGIS Pro and when I click to open a new map template I get this...

Another blog I found says it has something to do with IT permissions, but my IT department has no idea what to do! Any help would be great. Thank you.

it seems that it is read/write permissions for where the project is stored.

Is it a local install of Pro and do you have full permissions on your machine or do you have some restrictions?
