Hi all. Since the jump to ArcGIS pro, I’ve been really disappointed at how difficult it has become to export files for use in Adobe Illustrator. For many, many years ArcGIS desktop offered a straight .AI export option which worked great. Pro only offers an AIX export option and I’ve had no success on getting this to work. The required Adobe plugin is really buggy and difficult to use.
Has anyone found a working alternative for exporting that doesn’t require an AIX plug in? I have been able to open straight PDF exports in Illustrator, but all layers are lost (one big jumble of lines and points).
It sure would be nice if ESRI re-created a straight AI export option. 😀 Thanks much.
