Enable reduced font size on labels, but maintain single font size per feature

Hello,

I am trying to enable the "reduce font size" label fitting strategy for one of my layers. I want font size to vary from feature to feature, but I do not want the font size to change on a label for a single feature. I've attached a picture showing what I mean - the label "Campground Dr" is for one single road feature, and the label is pulling from one field in the table. Is there a way I can make sure that the label font size will be maintained within each single feature?

I'm sorry to hear labelling in ArcGIS Pro isn't working as expected. I would like to investigate this, could you possible provide details on what version of ArcGIS Pro you're using and also the data where you're seeing this font size issue would be most useful.
