I am trying to edit a line that is not perpendicular to another line, but I would like it to be perpendicular to another line.   I select edit vertices but I cannot move the vertices to the line I want to connect to to make it perpendicular.  How can I do this?  Are there any shortcuts?

Hi Johnny,

If just one or a few lines, you can use the "Align features" tool in the Edit tab in ArcGIS Pro to make a line perpendicular to another line. Here are the documentation and steps: Align features to a traced line—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation.

Thanks,

Omar

@JohnnyZiem

One idea:

Use the Replace Geometry tool and then use the Perpendicular command on the sketch context menu (while hovering over the line segment that you need to be perpendicular to).

Or instead of using the perpendicular command, you can use Inference to create perpendicular lines:
