I'm looking for a little more detail on the point feature class (Enterprise Geodatabase) requirements. We deploy our enterprise geodatabase over multiple SQL databases and typically use views to publish our live data flows. Our DBA's limit us GIS folks to query only capability , so we can't don't have editing permission. I'm wondering two things: 1) Does the feature binning work with point feature class views from an Enterprise Geodatabase? 2) do you need "edit" permissions to the SQL database in order to use "Enable Feature Binning". When I run that tool on a view I get an error saying that it's not a table, and when I run it on an actual (non-view) table, I get "ERROR: 001841: The class was not found%s." Thanks for the help. Looks like an awesome tool, and I'm eager to figure it out.

I would say that it would have to be run as the owner of the table and could not be done on views. I have enabled it on a SQL Server feature class with no issues.
