Domains and feature service editing, field names issue

It appears that in ArcGIS Pro 1.0 you do not have to create a local copy for editing to make edits to a feature service as in ArcGIS 10.3 and prior.  I have noticed that on feature classes in a feature service that utilize subtypes, the subtype field shows the code, not description, as does one of the domains that changes depending on the subtype selected.  Also, the field names are displaying, not the field aliases.

See elem_type and elem_name fields in attachment.  Other fields that use domains, such as elem_found, elem_eo, and new_up do show the domain description instead of the coded value.

Nope.

Fixed for GDB, still an issue with feature services in Pro 1.4.

Correction. This is still an issue for hosted feature services (published to ArcGIS online).

This is fixed for feature services published on ArcGIS server/portal 10.5.

Confirmed this is working in Pro 1.4.1 with ArcGIS 10.5 for Server feature services.

For Feature Services published via ArcMap to a ArcGIS Server Federated to a Portal, SUBTYPEs still show up as the coded value, not the description.

Will this ever get fixed or is our only option to basically repeat SUBTYPE as a Coded Domain which does appear to show Descriptions rather than coded value.  This work around is documented in a few Esri posts.
