I am working on a map series in ArcGIS Pro 2.9, basically trying to replicate a Data Driven Pages map series of municipalities from around the state as part of our organization's migration from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro. The Pro map series is set up using the same data as the ArcMap version, with the map extent coming from a Scale field in our data layer, yet in the Pro version of the layout, some of the city boundaries no longer fit within the map frame as they did in ArcMap. In the ArcMap version, we set up the maps on Arch D print size (24x36in), yet in the Pro version that size is not big enough to fit some of our municipal boundary features; I have had to go up to ANSI E (33x44in) in order to fit the whole feature despite the scales being the same. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Is there some obscure setting that would be affecting the extent this way that I am missing, or might this be a bug in the software? Screenshots below for illustration.
ArcMap: (Arch D layout size)
ArcGIS Pro: (also Arch D layout size)
Thanks in advance!
That's very odd, can you share the screenshots of your settings in ArcMap and Pro?
Are the projections the same?
Yes, the projections are the same.
There is a defect with ArcGIS Pro and Spatial Map Series if we are using a Page Query - BUG-000152229
I see; I am using a Page Query on an "adjacent municipality" layer in order to shade the features that don't match the current page name lighter than the current one; is there a workaround, do you know?
