Hello,

I am new user of ArcGIS. Few days back I have purchased the license of ArcGIS desktop advanced version. I was unware about the fact that the ArcGIS desktop advanced version is different from ArcGISPro.

Please help me to convert my existing license file to ArcGIS Pro.

Help is needed in this regard please.

If you have purchased ArcGIS Desktop Advanced license, you are also eligible to get ArcGIS Pro (Advanced) as complimentary. The installation media and license keycodes will be different. You could download the installation setup from My Esri using your organization's login.

Please contact Esri Technical Support for providing you the keycodes of equivalent ArcGIS Pro licenses at no additional cost.

You can run both ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) as well as ArcGIS Pro simultaneously in the same/ different machines.

As Jayanta pointed out, ArcGIS Pro is included in the purchase of a Desktop license.  For the overview of desktop licensing, please read through: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/about-licensing.htm

By default, ArcGIS Pro is licensed using the Named User licensing model - this is described in https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/named-user-licenses.htm So if you don't want to convert your Named User license to Single Use (or Concurrent Use, depending on what desktop license you purchased) you don't have to.  You just need to set up your ArcGIS Online organization and set up Pro's Named User license through that organization.

Follow the steps from that link above:

Hope this helps!
