Creating chainage points with distance from start point included

I'm trying to add 100m chainage points to a network of unique lines. Whilst I have no issue adding the points at 100m intervals using "arcpy.GeneratePointsAlongLines_management", I'm unsure how to create a field in the output table that displays an individual chainage points distance from the start point of the related line.
