Create a "QC path" from a provided tiling scheme

Hi all.

Wondering if there's a way in Pro to create a "QC path" from a provided tiling scheme like shown in the image below (black arrowed line)? The one shown in the image was manually created, but we get through a lot of data so a way to auto-create this each time would be beneficial.

In simple terms, I need a way to create a single right-angled polyline which horizontally intersects centres of all square tiles (ideally with an option for verticle too). I Imagine this is something which could certainly be created from scratch in python, but any suggestions/ideas for how to do this with Pro's in-built features would be much appreciated.
