We've created a layout that is a template that we'd like to use for a dozen maps.
Here's what we are doing:
We've tried on multiple computers without success. If it makes any difference, the project and data are all accessed via UNC paths. Looking at the performance tab of task manager, nothing (GPU, Memory, etc) seems to be maxing out.
Any suggestions?
Hi Joanna,
What version of ArcGIS Pro are you using? A lot of work was done in this area over the 2.3 and 2.4 releases. It is possible that something was missed. Can you contact Esri Support? They are better equipped to handle troubleshooting steps and gather bug data. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support.
Thanks,
Tom
I've had the same problem in Pro since I've been using it around 2.1, I've got 3.3 now, still run into this pretty often copy/pasting layouts. The frequency seems to have decreased slightly through the versions, sometimes it only takes a few minutes. But most of the time it literally takes 20 minutes to hours just to copy/past a layout. Doesn't seem to matter how I do it. The only pseudo workaround I know of is to save as to different aprx, which is crappy even as workarounds go. If I have to copy/paste a layout I try to do it as I leave so I can just let it grind through the night. My record time length is circa 3 hours.
