So yesterday, I was trying to create an index using the "Calculate Composite Index" tool. Now, two of the fields that I was using were the "ToBreak" fields generated from the "Service Area Analysis" tool, basically drive and walking distance so the values of these two columns are not continues and are like 0, 2.5 and 5. The other variable was a count So when I use the "Maximum-Minimum" "Mean" method.
The tool kept on returning Error 110468 Division by Zero
And I am guessing this has to do with the values being not continuous in the "To Break" fields
The tool does work when I choose "Raw Values" under Method to Scale Input Variables but idk if it's the right method to use!
Why am I getting this error?
What's an appropriate method for such a use case?
I hope someone from the team behind ESRI's Calculate Composite Index can answer this question 🙂
I did try to use the "Standardize Field" tool but it too returned the same error.
