Hello,

First time using this community as a tool. I am using ArcGis Pro 2.9.0 for my education and was asked to clip data. When I follow the directions: modify, clip, select polygon, check clip all editable features, set buffer .... the option to clip never appears. I just have a dotted polygon of my AOI but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Are you using a feature in a featureclass? or just drawing an area on an image?

Just drawing an area on an image to pull out of a landsat image.

You can try

Extract by Mask (Spatial Analyst)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

if you want to just draw a polygon and not make a polygon featureclass

extractbymask.png

just click the pencil and draw away

Is there something else I could be doing wrong, that resulted in a blank screen when I zoom to layer?

Just found that there are no editable features. That must be why I was not able to clip? Is there a way to change that? Did  do something wrong somewhere else?
