Hello,
i'm wondering if it is possible to add both horizontal and vertical automatic grid lines in a chart created in ArcGIS Pro. It seems that only horizontal grid lines are added when the Format > Grid Lines option is turned visible.
Thank you,
Gianluca
For what kind of chart? If you are asking in reference to a bar chart, for example, I would be interested to know what you hope to use the vertical grid lines for -- since the x-axis is organized categorically, vertical grid lines would only be adding visual clutter to your chart.
Hi @GianlucaNorini ,
Thanks for the question! Could you please elaborate on what type of chart you'd like to show vertical grid lines?
Take care,
Chris
Sorry for late reply. I add an example of vertical lines in a chart that has been drawn in ArcMAP (from a scientific paper I already published). Vertical lines are useful exactly as the horizontal ones are.
Thanks,
Gianluca
@GianlucaNorini Thanks for the follow up! The Charts team will consider adding vertical grid lines to charts that have a continuous x axis. For tracking purposes, I would also encourage you to create a Pro Idea for this enhancement request.
