Can't merge multipatch feature class

I am trying to merge two multipatches in the same layer into one.

I have done this about 20 times successfully in the same project and on the same layer.

When I get to the last two it gives me a message:

"Merge Features Failed."

No other information on why am I getting this message. 

Again, I have done this successfully on the same layer with no problems. Why, all of the sudden, does this occur?

Brian E‌ did you try the standard, save, close, restart to rule out tempermentality?

Yes, I restarted Pro and my computer. No luck

That leaves something being different about the two that didn't exist before.  Anything come to mind?

Any images of ones that worked vs these?

Its these two specific multipatches that can't be merged.

I tried merging one of the multipatches to a different one and there was no issue.

Its just these 2 that wont merge. Its very strange.

Can't help, there must be a reason that merge is balking.

Hello Brian, 

Based on the image you attached it looks like you are merging features by accessing the Edit tab then using the Merge tool within the Modify features pane.  Have you attempted to use the Merge Geoprocessing tool?  I would recommend trying this to see if it yields a different result.
