This (purple) layer here has a multiply layer blend mode turned on, but when I include it in my group that has symbol layer drawing on, it does not blend, just appears normal.
Here it is multiplying over the layers beneath, with symbol layer drawing off:
With my symbol layer drawing on, though, it just draws on top, as if the blend mode were set to normal.
Has anyone else run into this? Workarounds? I really do need this layer to sit below some of the other classes and then multiply over those below. I've run into a number of bugs related to blend modes and wouldn't be surprised if this were another one but I'm often wrong on what's a bug vs. "feature." Appreciate any tips. Thanks!
I'm not sure this is exactly the problem you were having, but I found in ArcGIS Pro that the "Blend Layer" doesn't seem to have an effect if you have Color Management enabled. Disabling it for me resolved the problem (which was specifically related to creating composite basemaps).
Best!
