ArcGIS Pro won't allow splitting without a selection after November 2025 update

After the latest (November 2025) update, when I try to split a polygon with the "Allow splitting  without a selection" box checked, I get the following error message, "Splitting features failed.
A polygon cut operation could not classify all parts of the polygon as left or right of the cutting line."
If I select a polygon and try to split it with the  "Allow splitting  without a selection" box checked,  I get the same error. I can only split the polygon without the box checked and polygon selected.

Hi @CarolynScholl4  Can you provide a screenshot of the polygon and the Split line you are sketching?  Is the polygon data projected on the fly?

version of Pro?  are the map and layer in the same coordinate system?

Yep, that was the problem. I thought they were, but the map frame was NAD 1983 California and my feature class was just NAD 1983. My bad!
