I am running into an issue where the legend symbology does not match the actual map symbology when the "angle alignment" is set to display and offset patterns with angles are used.
I use a 3 part symbol: a solid stroke line boundary; a solid line hatched fill at 45 degrees, with 12pt spacing, no offset; and a dashed line hatched fill at 45 degrees, with 12pt spacing and 6pt offset. This symbology works great and aligns with map series pages that do not have a rotation and the angle alignment set to map. However, the map series pages requires some pages to be rotated, and I really need to use the display angle alignment so that symbology on all pages matches.
"Normal" settings described above:
Now when I change the angle alignment from map to display, I get this map symbology with spacing that looks off:
I can fix the map symbology by setting the offset to 24pt, but then the legend symbology breaks:
I feel like this is a bug not a feature, anyone experience this/have a work around?
ArcGIS Pro version 3.5.0
Thanks,
Ben
I would raise this with your esri support, they may have some spurious solution or if not recognise it as a bug and deal with it.
