ArcGIS Pro running slow when computing raster information

Hi!

I'm a student and am trying to accomplish a few projects using ArcGIS Pro. I'm running it on a computer in a school lab. My problem is that when I try to accomplish tasks with the provided data, it takes anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour to finish. Unfortunately, using the school computer is the only way I have to accomplish the task. So far, I've spent about 10 hours trying to project raster, add contour lines, and hill shading. I've googled the problem and the only help page that was sort of similar mentioned going into an admin account and clearing the tasks. I'm pretty sure I don't have access to that.

Hello @BrianBehan,

I don't know if you are configuring environments but I believe you could improve those numbers at least on Project Raster and Contours (SA) tools which allow paralell processing (also set the extent to the layer you are trying to project/make countours).

Hillshade on the other side does not allow pararell processing.
