I've been trying to enable feature binning on a point layer, it hangs at 7% and then fails with 99999 random error. Does this even work at all? Thanks, cob

What is the RDBMS version information, the number of records in the table and the binning settings?

I have gotten it to work on 5.5+MM points.

It’s a sql server 2012 sde database I created with arcmap 10.6.1 because at 2.4 pro can’t create sql 2012 only connect. The tool starts to run normally although at times there is red x on the input parameter until I enter the projection information. There are only about 13K records in this. Do you think it has anything to do with the sql version? Thanks for your response - cob

Yes, that would be the first place. If the RDBMS is not supported that means that it may not be able to support that function.

I would upgrade the SQL Server version and the Enterprise Geodatabase to 10.7.1 (there may be something that is added as part of the update) and retest.

I would not think that 13k records would cause an issue in the supported environment.
