Hello,

I am using ArcGIS Pro 3.5.1. Recently the software has become extremely slow — even right-clicking on a layer can take up to 10 minutes to respond.

I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but the issue persists. Although my data are usually stored on an external drive, I copied one of the projects to my C drive to rule out that factor, but it didn’t resolve the problem either.

I’m wondering if there could be another underlying issue that I’m not aware of. I would really appreciate any help you can provide to troubleshoot and resolve this problem.

Thank you,
Pouran Behnia

Hi, I’m experiencing very slow performance in ArcGIS Pro, even though I’m using a high-performance computer and all the data is stored locally. What could be causing this issue?

Have you run any of the items from this Esri Community post - Troubleshooting Performance Issues in ArcGIS Pro - to troubleshoot the performance issues?  Please advise.

No, I didn't run that. The problem was with the external drive. I changed the drive and ArcGIS Pro works well now.
