I recently updated to version 3.7.

When creating features like polygons and initiating a save, the whole platform freezes. It is not allowing me to create.

Has anyone else run into this issue or know how to fix?

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I appreciate your time in responding to me. I found the issue and feel like an idiot lol...

The "Save Edits" pane kept appearing in the bottom left corner of my screen and was barely visible. Everything works fine! Thank you all again for your time!

@ConnorWoods We haven't received reports of problems with editing in 3.7. Have you contacted Esri Support? They can assist with troubleshooting problems like this. Maybe a clean uninstall/reinstall is in order?

Hey @ConnorWoods

I'd try giving Pro a soft reset or a full reinstall like Scott had mentioned, here's how to do it:

Here's how to do a clean uninstall/reinstall:

Let me know if this helps!

Question:  Prior to upgrading to 3.7, did you update to the required .NET framework version described here - ArcGIS Pro 3.7 Moves to .NET 10

I'm glad you found a solution @ConnorWoods . Do you any of the following apply to you?

  • Multiple monitors
  • A docking station for a laptop
  • A remote desktop connection
  • You change your screen resolution manually

Thanks for any additional info!

Hey @Scott_Harris

Yes, I operate with a laptop with a dock station and 2 external monitors.

I have never messed with resolution and was using Arc Pro up to the day I made my original post. Perhaps it was the update that shuffled things around. I am not really sure.

Ok thanks @ConnorWoods . I passed this info to the team that works on the framework. Hopefully it leads to a better experience in future releases.
