ARCGIS Pro crashes when browse/folder button pushed

I just purchased an individual license for ARCGIS Pro 3.1 and installed it on my machine. I started to go through the tutorials available and ran into the above problem - every time I push the browse/folder button the program crashes. Needless to say, that problem makes my purchase useless. Here are a couple of screen captures to illustrate.

This one occurs when I tried to change the default location for projects.

And this one occurs when I try to add folders to a project.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I do not know what you mean by "check the memory used by the application while browsing the directory." The program crashes as soon as the dialog box appears as can be seen in the screen captures I sent previously. I am not able to "browse the directory." All my drivers, particularly the graphics driver, are up to date.

Just to finish this topic, it turns out that the Roxio CD burner does something with the file system and conflicts with ArcGIS Pro. Once I uninstalled the Roxio program, I was able to use ArcGIS Pro normally.
