I added several LAS layers to a new map in ArcGIS Pro (NAD 1983 Zone 5N). However, they are offset from the basemap, which is still in WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere). How can I change the coordinate system of the basemap to match that of my LAS data layers?

Looks like Robert_LeClair from ESRI answered and provided this documentation:

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/properties/specify-a-transformation.htm#ESRI_S...

Not sure if it solves it or not.

If any future users scan this post, then here is an approach I used (ArcGIS pro 3.2):

1) select project ->options->Map and Scene -> Spatial Reference -> Choose Spatial Reference :

select 'NAD 1983 Zone 5N' or whichever for your particular problem.

2) start a new project, and you should notice that the basemap conforms to this new coordinate system.

3) add the layer/shape file (which now should match the basemap/project).
