With ArcGIS Pro 3 the context sensitive highlighting of the ribbons and the tab appearance was removed:

Is it possible to get the old 2.x tab visualization and colour highlighting back?
The white outline we have now lacks contrast. Is there maybe away to adjust the theme?

I also think the 'feature layer' name for the appearance tab is strange. But, I appreciate the fact that the colored strip above no longer occupies the title bar, which has become quite busy with command search (also in a strange, fluctuating, not-quite-centered position now). I can also now keep all my QAT items on the screen without placing it below the ribbon, which is nice. I don't believe there is a way to go back without downgrading your version.

I agree, having come more space is nice. However, the tab border and the colour highlighting of context sensitive tabs was really helpful to see wich tabs were active.

Maybe I´ll post an idea to have the ability to apply a colour to context sensitve tabs.
