ArcGIS Pro 3.7 Update, Error 126

Hi everyone, I just updated the ArcGIS Pro app on my desktop to 3.7 and I am now getting an error whenever I open the app.

When I did the update, it told me there was insufficient space and something along the lines of "retry or select rollback if enabled". I clicked retry, and got the same error, so then I clicked ignore. After this, the update completed successfully. However, I shortly received the follow error:

I am now getting this error every time I try to start up ArcGIS Pro. I've deleted random files to clear up space, uninstalled and reinstalled ArcGIS Pro, and also tried the method to fix corrupted files at this website: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corr...

Has anyone else gotten this error or is anyone else having issues with this new update? I cannot access ArcGIS Pro at all on this device. I greatly appreciate any insight. I assume I could reinstall ArcGIS Pro at the previous version, but I'm not sure where to go to do that.

I found this technical article, are you accessing Pro via RDP?

@Data_TA Given there was an initial error regarding 'insufficient space', that could have prevented a clean, full install.

ArcGIS Pro 3.7 system requirements states  Minimum: 32 GB of free space

Check that you meet the specs, uninstall, reboot and then do a fresh install of Pro 3.7.

Hi Ayan,

Thank you for your reply. I opened up enough storage space for this, but I now realize after running the system requirements scanner that ArcGIS 3.7 now requires Windows 11, which my computer is not currently able to run. Is this error message commonly seen when it's a windows software issue?

Thank you,

Yes, Pro 3.7 requires Windows 11 per the ArcGIS Pro 3.7 system requirements

While I can't comment if this error can be correlated to OS incompatibility; recommend adhering to the supported specs as that will allow for optimum usage.
