I can't load some maps created in an older version of ArcGIS Pro now that I've upgraded to 3.0. Maps are stuck on loading screen. Anyone else having this problem or know of a solution?

  • Windows 11
  • NVIDIA  GeForce RTX 3070 GPU (studio driver version 512.96)
  • Issue is not resolved by working on laptop monitor solely instead of two monitors through docking station.

I needed to update my Access database engine from 2010 to 2016.

Hi @Danvey

Have you read the release notes on agp3.0 stating this is a breaking release and older files won't work directly in this version?

This could be your issue.

Do you mean Microsoft Access or something else?

Yes, Microsoft Access.

This fixed the same issue for me. The problem was driving me crazy. Thank you!

@DamienPyne  It's the opposite: newer files won't work in older versions. Once a project is saved in Pro 3.x, it can't be opened in Pro 2.x.

I'm having this same issue, though just with one project, not with others. And other folks are able to open that one project that is causing me issues. I've updated my access engine; renamed the files to Esri_Old; updated drivers; sat and waited forever. Nothing. Any other input on how to resolve this issue?

I did have to remove the 2010 MS Access database engine, but it sounds like you may be experiencing a different cause of the loading issue. Good luck
