ArcGIS Pro 2.5: The “can’t create output” error is repeatedly appearing with no logical reason when working with model builder,
I observed that the “can’t create output” error is repeatedly appearing with no logical reason when working with model builder.
Is this a filed bug?
My ticket for the tile cache issue has been open for 6 months I wouldn't hold your breath.
For me, I prefer to post all issues I encounter in the forum. This is an efficient recourse to get them resolved. The Geonet community practitioners in addition of esri staff who keeps eyes fresh on our issues make our life easier
I regularly use stand-alone scripts with Arcpy, and for some reason in recent week or two existing scripts that worked with no issues previously, used on many occasions, are continually coming up with error: 000210 'cannot create output' even though nothing has changed in the formation of path/filename. The success of the scripts now appear to be much more dependent on where the data is being saved to (c: drive or network) where before this was not an issue at all. Even so the occurrence of the error appears to be pretty random, with the error occurring in the same script though writing to the same gdb or folder several times. My feeling is that it is something to do with lock files not being released, or kept when previously the script (arcpy) could deal with them.
I apologise in advance for as yet not having the time (I am extremely busy) to formally file a case with tech support, but at present it feels unfortunately quicker to script a work around in R. However, if the arcpy error persists I will do so.
