I am working on my first attempt to use ArcGIS Pro (v3.3) 3D Analyst with LIDAR data to assess canopy structure, biomass and carbon storage in a lowland hardwood forest in southern Louisiana, pre- and post -Hurricane Katrina. I have downloaded point cloud data from NOAA Digital Coast, converted the files from .laz.lod to .las files and created a LAS Dataset. When I run the 3D Analyst tool “Point cloud>Classify LAS by Height”, I can see the tiles on the map but there is no visualization of the vegetation. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

If you zoom in, you should see the lidar points and change symbology to class. If you create Las Pyramids for the Las Dataset, it will display faster in 3D scene and 2D map.  I would suggest opening the las dataset in a scene view and adding the lidar, then showing the class in symbology.   If you want to email me, I have some more documentation I could send you that I presented at the UC in 2022 on tree canopy creation and 3D visualization of tree.  acrawford@esri.com
