When searching for a coordinate system, the user is presented with something like this:
It's another couple clicks to drill down to an actual coordinate system:
This is not the most intuitive nor efficient. Might I suggest the approach used in QGIS, which shows all matches in a simple list? This would save several clicks and help users more quickly scan through the results.
Good idea.
Though QGIS doesn't use a simple list, it retains the tree structure, but also filters out the tree levels as well as the CRS's that don't match the search text and then expands the tree. I find that much more useable than the Pro way.
Ha, I just had to use ArcMap for the first time in years and it does exactly that:
@Luke_Pinner they spent years - perhaps decades - improving what became ArcMap, and threw it out overnight. I don't get it.
